A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the July 9 burglary at Food- Valu, Marion’s only grocery store, which caused thousands of dollars in damage and theft.
Treyshaun Jemel Williams, 24, of Marion Junction, was arrested on July 28 and charged with third-degree burglary, firstdegree criminal mischief, and fourth-degree theft of property. He remains in the Perry County Jail with bond set at $18,000.
Williams’ arrest follows the July 22 arrests of Quashawn Marquell Parrish, 23, of Marion Junction, and Brandon Jamal Bennett, 22, of Selma, who were charged with the same offenses.
According to criminal complaints filed in Perry County District Court, the suspects are accused of breaking the front window of the store and stealing cigarettes and cigars. Damages to the property are estimated at over $2,500, bringing the total loss to approximately $3,000.
