The Judson College Foundation has recently reached out to alumnae with an important update regarding the future of the historic Judson College campus. Following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy settlement, which was approved by the court on April 16, 2024, the campus has been officially conveyed to the Judson College Foundation.
The Foundation’s Board members are now tasked with finding a new mission for the campus, one that will contribute to the economic and spiritual development of the Marion community. Despite the campus being mostly vacant for the past three years, security measures have proven effective, with only one minor theft reported— and the stolen item was successfully recovered.
The Judson College Foundation is fully responsible for the campus’s maintenance, including lawn care and security, and is now seeking financial support from the alumnae. In an email sent on August 5, 2024, the Foundation requested tax-deductible donations to help cover these ongoing costs. Contributions can be sent directly to the Judson College Foundation at 302 Bibb Street, Marion, Alabama 36756.
The Foundation expressed its gratitude for the continued prayers and support from the Judson College community as they navigate this transitional period and work towards a new chapter in the campus’s legacy.
