Howard Wesley Cook Jr., 88 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on July 29, 2022. He was born on September 9, 1933 to Howard and Mittie Jackson Cook. He was a veteran and then a dairy and cattle farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Howard and Mittie Jackson Cook and his daughter, Amber Cook Unger. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jewell Tolar Cook of Marion; his daughters Cynthia Patterson (James) of Plantersville, AL and Brenda Cook (Mitch Nicholas) of Marion; his son-in-law Mike Unger of Leesburg, Ga; his granddaughter Candace Ratcliffe of Marion; his sister, Geneva O’Donnell of Branford, CT; his Brother, Jimmy Cook of Marion; a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Lovie.
Graveside service will be held on August 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at Marion Cemetery with Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Larry Cook, Dudley Barton, Paul Wheeler, Bryan Swisher, Dean Tolar, William Cole. Honorary Pallbearers are: Nathaniel Hill and Red Ryan.
