Greensboro’s “America 250” Lecture Series continues Friday, August 14, at the Engle Gallery with the presentation “Portraits of a New Nation: Early American Portrait Painters 1670-1850” by Eve W. Engle.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the lecture begins at 6 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
