Sarah Cordelia Washburn Hughey, 90, of Marion, AL went to her eternal home on May 11, 2025. She was born on March 12,1935 in Perry County, AL to Willie Howard Washburn and Nancy Plummer Washburn.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents: Willie Howard Washburn and Nancy Plummer Washburn; and her husband: Willard Hughey. She is survived by her children: Connie Ellis, Teresa Ham, and Chuck Hughey; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL with the Reverend John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing. Pallbearers were: Trace Spivey, Eric Jordan, Jason Sherrer, and Cooper Hain.
