Charles Sanders, Marion native, returned to his hometown Saturday, June 3, to present bicycles to residents. Sponsored by the Alfred G. Adams, Jr., Optimist Club of Marion and bicycles provided by Wal-Mart, Sanders was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by both organizations for his service to the Marion community. The event was held in the Albert Turner, Sr. Courthouse Annex, where club members cheered on Sanders as he presented the bicycles to its randomly-chosen recipients.
