A West Blocton man was cited Sept. 6 for hunting small game by aid of bait in Perry County, according to a citation filed Sept. 10 in Perry County District Court.
Ryan Neil Linch, 37, of West Blocton, was cited about 7:20 a.m. near County Road 45 and County Road 6 by a state conservation enforcement officer who, according to the citation, saw him actively hunting over cracked corn and sunflower seeds.
The charge is a misdemeanor under state game law.
Court records show Linch was released the same day, and the case is set for a plea docket Oct. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
All persons arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
