Brenda Foster passed on June 6, 2026, at the age of 71, having been born on May 15, 1955, and residing in Lawley, Alabama.
She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took care of all of her family. Her best friend was her sister, Sheila, whom you would find side by side with her all the time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beth and Harvey Jones; her spouse, Richard Foster; and her siblings, Jimmy Jones and Debra Rose.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Carter; children, Michelle Roberts (Doug), Jennifer Foster, Christy Foster, and stepson Wesley Carter (Glee); siblings, Sheila Johnson, Jesse Jones, and Jeff Jones; grandchildren, Kayla Roberts (Joey), Karlee Whitley (Cameron), Ric Roberts, Kristen Gill (Chris), Cody Lee (Shayna), Caden Carter, and Hadylee Carter; and great-grandchildren, Christian Ayala, Catalina Ayala, Camren Ayala, Ansleigh Whitley, Alexa Gill, Tucker Gill, Rylee Lee, Piper Lee, Zaine Lee, Lincoln Lee, and Remi Lee.
Pallbearers were Cody Lee, Ric Roberts, Wesley Carter, Joe Benjamin, Dustin Green, and Brandon Sims. Honorary pallbearers were Enhabit Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.
A funeral service for Brenda was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, with burial following. Pastor Sam Houston officiated.
