Elizabeth “Betsy” Scobee Ellis, 84, of Marion, AL, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026.
- Birth and Residence: Born and raised in Bardstown, KY; lived in Marion, AL since 1968.
- Life and Legacy: Devoted organist for Siloam Baptist Church since the early 1980s, taught piano, and shared her musical talent at weddings, funerals, and local nursing homes.
- Family:
- Preceded in death by parents James Robert and Edith Adams Scobee, husband Arthur Lewis Ellis, and brother James Stephen Scobee.
- Survived by sister Emma May Robinson; children Christopher Dale Ellis (Carol) and Angela Ellis Blocker (Dale); grandchildren Natalie Elizabeth Blocker, Christopher Dylan Ellis, and Matthew Cambron Blocker; and extended family and friends.
- Funeral Services: Monday, February 2, at Siloam Baptist Church with Pastor John Nicholson officiating. Visitation 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by funeral. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham at 2:30 p.m.
- Arrangements: Rockco Funeral Home, Centerville.

Betsy’s life was clearly marked by her love of music and devotion to family and community.
