Community Service Programs of West Alabama is now scheduling appointments for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) help with power bills, using an automated phone system because of high demand. Appointments are first-come, first-served.
Residents age 60 and older may begin scheduling LIHEAP appointments starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, by calling 1-833-836-7820. Seniors may apply online or come into the office on the day of their appointment.
After receiving a confirmation number, they may upload required documents at littliteal.azurewebsites.net, although online upload is not required for in-office appointments for seniors.
Residents ages 59 and under may begin scheduling LIHEAP appointments at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, by calling 1-833-836-7817. After scheduling and receiving a confirmation number, applicants must upload their required documents at littliteal.azurewebsites.net before the date of their appointment.
Appointments for those under 60 are first-come, first-served in all counties.

Crisis appointment scheduling begins Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 8 a.m., online at littliteal.azurewebsites.net. Once documents are uploaded, a CSP community service worker will contact the household within 48 hours.
For LIHEAP or crisis appointments, applicants must provide:
- a valid photo ID;
- Social Security cards and dates of birth for everyone in the household;
- proof of income for the previous month for all household members 18 and older and for anyone receiving government benefits; and
