The 163rd Emancipation Proclamation Celebration will be held Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Marion Baptist Academy in Marion.
This year’s theme is “Let Us March on Until Victory Is Won,” with supporting scripture from 1 Corinthians 15:57-58. The president for the program is Hon. Robert D. Bryant.
The guest speaker will be Hon. Rev. Judge Carlton L. Hogue, Judge of Probate of Perry County. Sister Rita Kynard-Smith will serve as mistress of order.
