Perry County’s probate records system is back online, following a weekslong outage that had limited access to digital records and delayed routine transactions.
Probate Judge Carlton Hogue confirmed that as of December 1, the office’s new system, provided by Ingenuity, is fully functional and available for public use.
The transition restores online access to probate records dating back to 2008, which had been temporarily inaccessible after a power surge crashed the office’s aging Syscon server earlier this fall.
Judge Hogue previously emphasized that no data were lost in the crash, and that the move to Ingenuity would bring Perry County more in line with probate offices across Alabama and improve compatibility with other county offices.
With the new system in place, title work, certified copies of marriage licenses, and other routine services that depend on digital record searches have resumed normal processing at the probate office.
