The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to resurface an 8.3- mile stretch of State Route 219 in Perry County, with bid opening set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at ALDOT headquarters in Montgomery.
The Federal Aid project, listed as STPAA-HSIP-0219(508), will include micro-milling, new asphalt resurfacing, and traffic striping on SR-219 from the Dallas County line to a point 0.300 mile north of the junction of County Road 32, a total length of 8.324 miles.
Once awarded and work begins, the contractor will have 45 working days to complete the job. ALDOT’s bracket estimate places the construction cost between $1.45 million and $1.77 million.
Only prequalified contractors may bid. Each bid must be backed by a cashier’s check or bid bond equal to 5 percent of the bid, up to $50,000. Bidding proposals are available for $5 and plan sets for $6 at ALDOT, 1409 Coliseum Boulevard, Room E-108, Montgomery, AL 36110. Plans and proposals are mailed upon receipt of payment; no refunds are offered.
