On July 26th, Coach John Bolding and the Running Rams cross-country team hosted the first ever Francis Marion Community 5K around the Francis Marion school campus. The course took three loops around the campus on a course that Coach Bolding created this summer for the Running Rams athletes to train on. The event in its first year had approximately 40 participants from not only Marion, but several surrounding communities including Bibb County and Billingsley. Coach Bolding said he looks forward to hosting this event annually along with other similar events in the future at different locations in Marion.
