Uniontown’s 2025 municipal election will feature a competitive ballot this year, with contested races for mayor and every city council district except one. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, with polling places open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Five candidates have qualified to run for mayor, including incumbent Ron Miller. He is being challenged by Geneva Watts, Calvin Jordan, Don Moore, and Portia Shepherd.
In District 1, Councilman Eddie Ward will face two challengers: Le Virgil Bell and Fernando Deon Raby. District 2 also features a three-way race between incumbent Sherman Norfleet, Dudley Long, and Timothy Shepherd.
District 3 is the only uncontested race, where Cynthia Mims qualified without opposition.
In District 4, incumbent Henrietta Jones is being challenged by Theotis Dudley. District 5 will see incumbent Kimberly Bell face Donald Anderson.
