Darreon Brooks, a graduate of Francis Marion High School, earned his associate’s degree from Marion Military Institute on Saturday, May 10. He was one of 63 cadets participating in the college’s Commencement Ceremony. Graduating with honors on the Dean’s List, he also took the oath of office and commissioned as an Army officer. 2LT Brooks will transfer to Alabama A&M University in Huntsville to complete his bachelor’s degree.
