Rams ran hard at state track and field championship in Cullman

The Running Rams competed at Cullman High School May 2-3 in the AHSAA 1A Track and Field State Championship. They had a total of 23 athletes qualify to compete at this culminating event. The weekend was tough with storms, weather delays, flooding tent areas, and unfortunate calls from relay officials, but all the Rams athletes proudly did their very best. The overall team results and a few individual events may not have ended in the places they had hoped for, but they walked away with their heads held high knowing they left all they had on the track. If it weren’t for an unfortunate false start in the 100M and an unjust 4×100 relay disqualification in the prelims that film proves was a bad call, the lady Rams would have easily placed 2nd overall and brought home another trophy. However, the ladies still placed a respectable 4th out of 35 teams while the boys placed 9th.
