John Wesley Warren age 76 of Magnolia, AL died May 3, 2025 at his home. He was born December 29, 1948 in Camp Hood, TX to Carl and Audie Warren. He was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church.
He was a 1967 graduate of Francis Marion High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served eleven and one half years in service during the Vietnam era. He served as a S-Sgt (E5) in Vietnam as an aircraft maintenance technician.
After leaving the Air Force, he was self-employed with Dixie Midwest Express, Inc. of Greensboro, AL. In March of 1981, he became the Veterans Service Officer for Perry County, Alabama. This is where he found his passion to serve fellow veterans and their families for over two decades. In his spare time, he was an old car enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his four daughters, Tracie Soesbe (Michael) of Elberta; Michele Sanderson of Cartersville, GA; Sabrina Dumas of Nashville, TN; and Natalie Shaw (Marshall); brother, William Michael Warren (Carol) of Greensboro, AL; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Warren; parents, Carl Milton Warren and Audie Mae Warren; and brother, Carl Warren, Jr.
In his life, he helped so many people and was always there for others. He loved and was loved by many people and will forever by missed.
Visitation was held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Patricia Grindle officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery.
