Happy Nurses Week

Celebrating Nurses Week at Hale County Hospital

Happy Nurses Week! At Hale County Hospital, we are proud to celebrate and honor the incredible nurses who serve across every corner of our hospital — from the outpatient clinic to inpatient care, the emergency room, and home health. These professionals are not only caregivers; they are the backbone of our hospital and a vital part of our community.

Throughout the challenges of COVID-19, flu seasons, and everyday emergencies, our nurses have shown extraordinary resilience and compassion. Their steady presence has kept our doors open and our beds staffed, ensuring patients receive the care they need, no matter the circumstances.

We are especially proud that many of our hospital’s leaders are nurses themselves, including our CEO, Shay Cherry. This leadership is mirrored in the strength of our Nursing Department, whose guidance and support have been essential in keeping our hospital moving forward.

We want to give a special thank-you to the department’s leadership team for their tireless work behind the scenes and on the front lines.

Director of Nursing Marlowe Witherspoon shared her deep appreciation: “Our nurses are truly the heart of this hospital.

Their skill, compassion, and teamwork inspire me every single day. I am incredibly proud to work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals who care so deeply for our patients and for each other.”

To every member of our nursing staff — thank you. Your hard work, heart, and commitment make a difference in the lives of our patients and in the strength of this hospital.

We see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you this week and always.
