Area job seekers, business owners can connect at summer job fair on May 13

West AlabamaWorks will host its annual I.G.N.I.T.E. Summer Job Fair on Tuesday, May 13, at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy. With more than 300 local students expected to attend, West AlabamaWorks is calling on area businesses to take part in this hiring event by offering summer job opportunities and connecting directly with young talent.

The I.G.N.I.T.E. Summer Job Fair is part of an ongoing effort to prepare students for the workforce while helping local employers meet staffing needs during the busy summer months. Businesses that participate will have the chance to meet motivated high school students seeking employment and work-based learning experiences.

“This is a valuable opportunity for businesses to invest in our future workforce and meet potential employees who are eager to work and learn,” said Donny Jones, Chief Workforce Officer of The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks.
