Uniontown Community Listening Session will be tonight at 6

The citizens of Uniontown are invited to attend Part 2 of the Community Listening Session on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Auditorium. The event is organized by Blackbelt Women Rising and Blackbelt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice and is designed to continue the vital conversation between community members and local organizations.

The session will give residents the opportunity to ask follow-up questions, share concerns, and learn about the many services and resources available to them. Local organizations including CHOICE and the Community Foundation of Uniontown will be present to speak about their work and ongoing projects that support the wellbeing and progress of Uniontown.

A free meal and dessert will be provided to all attendees.

“This listening session is Part 2 and to answer the citizens’ questions about what’s been going on, what resources are available to the people of Uniontown,” said Portia Shepherd, organizer. “We want everyone to know their voice matters, and that they have support right here at home.”

All Uniontown residents are encouraged to attend and help shape the future of their community through open, honest conversation.
