The Marion-Perry County Library is gearing up for its 2025 Summer Reading Program this June, offering a month of fun activities, story time, snacks, activities, and exciting special guests for local children.
The program is divided into two age groups. Children who have completed PreK 3 through 1st grade will attend June 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children who have completed 2nd through 7th grade will attend June 16, 17, 18, and 19 during the same hours. Both groups are invited back on June 23 and 24 for special guest appearances.
This year’s featured guests include Bob the Animal Guy on June 23, and popular Alabama meteorologist James Spann on June 24.
The program is free, but parents or guardians must accompany their children each day. Registration is required. To sign up, call the library at (334) 683-6411 or visit in person.
The Summer Reading Program is made possible thanks to support from the Mike & Gillian Goodrich Foundation and the Ala-Tom RC&D Council.
