Home Health is an ideal option for patients who are homebound due to illness, injury, or chronic conditions. It allows them to recover with dignity and comfort, while saving the energy and expense often associated with medical travel.

Importantly, the personalized attention that Home Health nurses provide fosters deep and meaningful relationships. As Andrea Whaley, RN and Home Health Agency Director, shared:

“Our patients become a piece of our hearts and are loved like family. It has definitely made me a better person being able to serve the patients as well as our community.”

How Home Health Works
To qualify for Home Health services, patients must be referred by a healthcare provider and meet the criteria for being homebound. Services are typically provided for a 60-day period, with renewals available based on the patient’s progress and needs.

Hale County Hospital Home Health proudly accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United Healthcare, and Blue Advantage.

If you or a loved one may benefit from Home Health services, talk with your doctor, hospital clinic, or nursing home provider to explore a referral.
