FMS Running Rams succeed at sectionals, will travel to compete in state championship this week

The Running Rams had a successful weekend at the AHSAA 1A Section 2 meet on April 25th and 26th. Out of the 32 athletes that participated on behalf of the Rams, 22 athletes qualified for the state championship with one more possibly getting a wild card qualification. The Rams move on to compete at Cullman High School in the AHSAA 1A state championship on May 2 and 3. Go Rams! Below are the overall results and all individual top 5 finishes.

Boys and Girls both placed 2nd overall out of 12 teams.

The following individuals set new school records in their events: Jadarius Carlisle broke his own 3200M record with a 11:35, Jamarian set the 800M record with a 2:16, Michael Hopkins set the 110H with a 15.03, the boys 4x100M set a record with 44.23, Ke’Lashia Shelton broke her own 400M record with a 1:01.15, and Jayla Carlisle set the 3200M record with a 20:41.
