The Perry County Office began accepting applications for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) benefits for the 2025 year starting on February 3rd. Seniors aged 60 or older who meet the income eligibility requirements can apply by calling the office at 334-683-6888 between 9 am and 3 pm. New applicants will need to provide their name, address, phone number, the number of people living in their household, and their household income. If benefits were received last year, applicants must have their card to renew and provide updated household and income information. Benefits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. While the Perry County Extension Office assists with entering applications for local senior citizens, it is not responsible for issuing the benefits. For any questions related to the program, applicants should contact the Farmer’s Market Authority in Montgomery.
