Annie Ruth Moore, 86, of Heiberger, Alabama, passed away on January 4, 2024, in Marion, Alabama. Born on March 5, 1937, she was a respected figure in her community, known for her devotion to family and faith.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (James) Jordan, Pamela (Phillip) Milam, and Tommie (Susan) Moore; her grandchildren, Brandi Brugge, Rebecca Hall, Jason (Tracy) Hunt, Blake Jordan, Jenny Jordan, Mitchell (Miranda) Milam, Michael (Harley) Milam; and her greatgrandchildren, Ford Brugge, Brooks Hall, Ellie Jordan, Madison Milam, Jakob Stone, Matthew Milam, Mason Milam, Kinzlee Milam, Marlee Milam, Emma Milam, and Colton Milam. Her sister Carliene Perry, Sister in Laws Peggy Krehmke and Dorothy Lee, and many nieces and nephews also mourn her loss.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Thomas Moore, III, her parents, Clifford and Miriam Poole, her daughter, Barbara Hunt, and son-in-law, CJ Hunt.
Annie Ruth was a lifelong learner and an advocate for education, having attended Heiberger Elementary and Perry County High School. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her active membership at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
A visitation and service to celebrate her life was held on January 8, 2024, at Pine Grove Baptist Church from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the service and burial at Marion Cemetery. Pallbearers included Larry Krehmke, Jim Poole, Johnny Lee, Joe Poole, Mike Poole, Jerry Lee, and Darryl Bracknell, with Legacy Hospice of the South serving as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church in her memory. The family wishes to thank Rockco Funeral Home for their support during this time.
