Jamecia Hurt, a recent graduate of Francis Marion School and track star for the Running Rams, signed with Mississippi University for Women (now co-ed) to compete for their track and field team. She headed to MUW in Columbus, Mississippi on August 7th to begin her new journey as a collegiate athlete. The teachers and staff of Francis Marion put together cards of encouragement to send her off with her community’s full support and love as this new chapter begins for her. Jamecia is sure to make big waves this Spring, so be watching for updates on her many successes.
