On Feb. 18, MMI hosted the AlaMATYC mathematics competition with team members Kaitlyn Homan, Julian Kern, Henry Lemley, Benjamin Standley and Honglin Wang taking 1st place overall with 50 points. MMI also swept all top 4 Individual Scores led by 1st Place – Henry Lemley (32 points) 2nd – Kaitlyn Homan (28), 3rd – Honglin Wang (25), tied for 4th – Julian Kern & Benjamin Standley (24). Calhoun CC and Northwest Shoals CC placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Thanks to Coach Dr. Xiaoli Yang & Tournament Host/Director Mrs. Camie Jones for organizing this academic competition.
