At Hale County Hospital, we are focused on relationship and community-centered healthcare complemented by programming, activities, and community partnerships that support improved health and quality of life of our neighbors. As the year is coming to an end, we like to reflect on the various accomplishments and memories that were made during the year of 2022.
This year at Hale County Hospital, our employees at our hospital and clinic joined forces to create a cookbook. The cookbook was called, “Neighbors Feeding Neighbors”. It included recipes from retired employees and current employees from across the department. Additionally, at the hospital we are selling the cookbook for $25 to members of the Hale County community.
In September, the hospital and clinics joined forces with EMS department, Police Department, and other law enforcement officers from around Alabama for a Disaster Drill. This was the first time since the pandemic that the drill was held, many of our employees attended classes that detailed information on how to be prepared for a tornado. Additionally, staff members at the hospital and clinics were able to meet members of the community.
Throughout this year, the hospital engaged with the community through the participation of many parades. Many members of the community had the opportunity to see our CEO, Shay Cherry, on the Hale County Hospital golf cart and holiday float. Whether it was Greensboro High School, Southern High School, or the Greensboro Christmas Parade. The hospital enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the festivities and engage with the community.
One of the most exciting news was the new providers that joined the hospital and clinics. We welcomed Dr. Joshua Price, Dr. Crystal Skinner, Dr. Donna Davis, and nurse practitioner Sarah Spencer to the Hale County Hospital and Moundville Medical Associates We are blessed and excited to have these new additions to the team! Whether you are looking for a child psychiatrist or a routine visit, at the hospital we have providers who are willing and want to help take care of you.
Finally, at the hospital we have the best nurses who work around the clock to make sure that our patients are comfortable and taken care of. Our incredible nurses here at Hale County Hospital are always working hard to pursue continuing education opportunities to serve the Hale County community at the highest possible standard! Nurses: Breanna Bonds RN, Marlowe Madison RN, Haley Hicks RN and Morgan Crawford RN, all just passed the Trauma Nursing Core Course and are all officially TNCC certified! We are so grateful and congratulate you on such an amazing accomplishment!
