Officially confirmed details have been hard to come by, but reports seem to confirm that Lavaris Heard of Marion died a violent death here on Monday.
Heard, who was 43, reportedly died after sustaining a severe laceration to the neck on Monday. The context of his death had yet to be confirmed by Marion Police Department as of press time, but the few details that are available point to a domestic incident.
Marion Police had reportedly taken a female person of interest into custody on Monday following Heard’s death, but no warrant is known to have been filed or arrest report generated as of press time.
According to the funeral home’s website, Heard’s final arrangements have not yet been announced. Ashley’s Lee and Rollins Funeral home in Marion will be directing the arrangements.
