Marion City Council’s first regular October meeting, which was scheduled to have been held on Monday, Oct. 3, has been postponed, according to City Hall.
Alabama state law requires city councils to hold at least two regular meetings each month.
Because Monday will be observed as the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday, the council’s meeting was set for this coming Tuesday evening, Oct. 11, at the regular time of 6:00 p.m
