UPDATE: ALEA’s State Troopers have announced that the blockage has been cleared.
A two-vehicle crash involving commercial vehicles that occurred at approximately 10:04 a.m. Thursday, June 2, has caused partial roadway blockage. The northbound lane of Alabama 5 near the 25 mile marker, in Wilcox County is now blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is assisting with traffic control. Please encourage motorists to use caution while traveling through the area. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
